Weekly Work Diary

Behind The Scenes Of Travel Blogging – My Week Vlog 9

Warning: this video contains my attempts to sing a musical number from the King and I. (Monica from The Travel Hack made me do it!)

vlog1Where I’m Working:

Dans my balcony at home in Sydney. Had to purchase sunscreen after a 1 arm tanning disaster.

What I’ve Been Working On:

Posts about eating in Brisbane and takeaways from Problogger event. Confessing to crushing on YouTube yoga hero Adriene (she combines yoga with travel and humour – seriously, check her videos out) and revealing how my sleep talking has affected my travels. (Sorry friends/strangers/lovers who have had to share rooms with me.)

vlog2Where I’m Popping up:

My virgin cronut experience made the Sunday Papers here in Oz. Well sort of. My instagram update was featured in this week’s Sunday Style Magazine. I’m like a famous cake-eater or something.

Also received very exciting news this week from the teams at Stylist Magazine/Nivea saying I had made their list of 30 female entrepreneurs under 30 for the #BringItOn30 campaign. More details will follow on the blog shortly. Watch out for my mug popping up in the 24th September issue of Stylist mag.

photo (8)Where readers are popping up:

I love nothing more that finding out that readers have checked out the places I love and then loved them too. This week instagrammer Simon checked out Jamie’s Espresso in Brisbane and enjoyed the coffee and scenery as much as I did.

What I’m Reading:

Blog Hop: Behind The Scenes of Travel Candy > Claire from Travel Candy was one of my nominations for the Blog Hop I took part in a few weeks ago. She gives a very witty insight into how she runs her blog alongside her freelance copywriting job. Also it seems she would like to marry fellow blogger Mike Sowden.. Revealing stuff!

How To Travel The Maldives On A Budget: It’s Possible! > Lauren from Never Ending Footsteps put together an incredibly comprehensive guide based on her experience of travelling the Maldives independently and on a budget. Proof that it can be done!

Coming up next fortnight: Social Media Week Sydney, more posts from the Gold Coast, a Blog Boy Crush (shh don’t tell my boyfriend!) and an exciting reader giveaway I’ve lined up for you.

Find all the fortnightly vlogs on my YouTube Channel.

Notice that Mike has kept VERY quiet on the marriage thing.
