I’ve been playing with some minimal wintry styli

I’ve been playing with some minimal wintry styling. Clutter stresses me out so I’ve boxed up a lot of our regular decor in order to make room for the festive touches. Oh and a couple of new arrivals I treated myself to as an early birthday present. 🙊

I’ll share in stories later about how I ordered this vase. It was one half of my latest @myus_shipping delivery & I’m obsessed!

It sounds like we might get blown around Christmas at Kew Gardens this evening but I don’t care as tonight marks the official start of the Christmas season for us! We’ll be putting up our tree in this very spot tomorrow. But first I’m going to sit here & write a list of Christmas gifts I can hopefully buy in the sales. Please remind me that doesn’t involve buying more lamps & vases 🙊

So at 9pm last night I did a 🎄thing

Although not all my Xmas decorations have arrived yet (see today’s stories for my mini tree debacle🤪) I wanted to see what I might need to secure my garland & next thing you know she’s up with bows & bells on 🤣

I wanted a bit of a fuller look so I’ve popped faux eucalyptus into the cedar pine garland the lovely @av.home recommended. I haven’t secured it properly as I think the eucalyptus needs replacing with some darker fresh or dried foilage. I haven’t decided yet 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’m also waiting for stocking holders to arrive & am on the hunt for some decorations for my shelves that aren’t the size of The Borrowers!

But I’m quite excited that Christmas has made a move into the living room. Bring on big tree day!

I put my trees up 😉🎄

While we’re waiting until next week to put the main man up, I couldn’t resist styling this sideboard with some of the festive bits that arrived this week. These gorgeous wooden trees from @malihomeware actually arrived mid-shoot & I just had to add them in. They’ll be going on the mantle once I figure out how to hang a garland. (I’m quite the rookie with these things!)

Went to the garden centre to buy Christmas decorations.. came back with nothing but more giant stems. Is there a support group for that?

I also used Christmas as an excuse to order the Northwick stool from @neptunehomeofficial that I’ve loved since forever. You can never have too many places to pop a cuppa at this time of year can you?!
