At the risk of sounding like a broken record, I find myself one again obsessing over solving my alcove issues. Perhaps it’s because I stare at this wall every evening that I keep coming up with even more ways we can style it. (I’m pretty sure I’m doing hubby’s head in.)

I shared a few ideas I’ve been playing around with on my stories the other week & you guys were very helpful. I was all set to rip out the radiator & start afresh with floor to ceiling shelving but interestingly the majority of you voted for us to keep the right hand side of the pic as is & add some small shelves to the gap on the left instead. An architect offered some helpful advice about leaving 200-300 mms between the architrave so I need to get my measuring tape out this weekend & see what that looks like. I think I’ll masking tape out my plans & finally make a decision. Well, that’s the idea anyway!

Right Insta, can you you talk to me about seasonal decor?!

I’ve got to be honest, apart from the traditional decorations at Xmas, I have never bought any seasonal decor for our home. (The hallway hasn’t been touched since spring.)

But this year? I want in! I want to autumn-ify our fave rooms. I want to up the cosy factor for the winter. I really, really want to create the sofa equivalent of a pumpkin spice latte 🤣🎃🍂🥮

But where do I start?! And when do I stop?!

I thought I might dip my toe in with autumnal stems and then see where we go from there… 🤷🏻‍♀️🤣😅

Let’s talk frames!

I’ve posted a lot about where I like to shop for art prints but had a few questions lately about where I go to for frames. The truth is most of them come from the good old high street, with just a few tweaks in some cases.

I’ve learned a couple of tips from the ‘gram you see. 🤪

Firstly, if the frame doesn’t come with an oversight mount you can just order it from Frames Express. (See my IKEA Frame Hack highlights for some tips on measurements I gleaned from @mynordicnook ).

Secondly, if you’re framing a painting or textured giclee art print - remove the glass or Perspex from the frame so you can better see it.

And that’s it!
