Yep thatās right, Iām writing on the internet about the fact I watch Keeping Up With the Kardashians. I watch it mindlessly on long-haul flights and sneakily when Iām home alone and I donāt just enjoy the show but legitimately fan-girl over the business empires built by this family of social media superstars.
One of the things I adore about the show is the family dynamic. I have sisters and am close to my mum so the relationships between the Kardashian women, in particular, remind me of my life. (Just, you know, without the fame, richesĀ and perky butts.)
Take the time Kim is upset that Kourtney and Khloe arenāt showing much excitement about her and Kanyeās first Vogue cover.
āI bought your Vogue,ā replies Khloe, āI read it on the john.ā
Bwahaha only a sister can support and insult you at the same time.
I tune into KUWTKĀ for travel porn too and sometimes (don’t judge) rewatch the episodes where they literally take the holiday of my dreams. Proving that travel inspiration can come from anywhere, here’s 5 times I wished I was on holiday with the Kardashians.
(Should I change my name to Kayne?)
Those Overwater Villas In Bora Bora
Back when Kim was with a guy called Kris (where do they find all these Kās?) and the whole family stayed in overwater villas at Hilton Nui Bora Bora. (Since closed but reopening in April 2017 as Conrad Bora Bora Nui.) It literally was THE DREAM.

That Villa In Thailand
Where Kim decided to take a million half-naked selfies for her āSelfishā book instead of soaking up the scenery. My research (read: guilty glances at the Daily Mail) reveals this beachfront palace was the Iniala Beach House in Phuket. The InialaĀ hasĀ 4 individual villas that each come with their own service team including a driver, a spa therapist, a villa manager, a housekeeper and a chef. (I wouldn’t travel with anything less lolz.)

The Jungle Hideaway In Costa Rica
I havenāt seen this episode yet but Iāve read about the Klanās recent stay at Villa Manzu, a 30,000-square-foot hideaway in Costa Rica that costs a cool $23,000 a night. (I’ll keep shopping aroundĀ yeah?)

Hemmingwayās House In Cuba
Iām very lucky to have been to Cuba back in 2013 when I had no idea what a crazy, colourful, confusing ride I was in for. The girlās did something more cultured than me though (awks) and visited Ernest Hemmingwayās house. So now I’ve got to go back.
Versace Mansion Miami
Similarly I’ve been to Miami but I didn’t stay in a mansionĀ that was once owned by Gianni VersaceĀ (now an opulent boutique hotel namedĀ The Villa Casa Casuarina) so I don’t think it counts?

Have you ever been inspired to travel by an unlikely source?
Yeees!! The Kardashians are my go-to guilty pleasure, ESPECIALLY for their travels! I wrote a post in the beginning of the year called ‘How to Travel like a Kardashian’, and had so much fun writing it š They sure have their fair share of dream holidays, and Iniala in Phuket har been on my list since I first saw it on their show! Unfortunately it’s a *little* out of my budget, haha! š Loved this post!
OMG I’m so glad I’m not the only who shares this guilty pleasure. They must influence so many people’s travels, albeit on a cheaper scale. I’m off to read your post now – it sounds awesome!!
Ooh I love this! I am such a secret Kardashians fan and I love seeing where they travel to! Even the discussions, like all putting a random place in a hat and then they just go- what do you mean you don’t spend hours trawling through Skyscanner? My list would be a wee bit different I think- I’d defo include their Paris trips and the Hamptons too, but then everywhere you’ve selected is fab too. All about making memories š

Oh how could I forget the Hamptons!? Doh!
It was actually their recent trip to Iceland that got me! Cuba is on my list too though.
I actually spent the entire time in Iceland saying “The Kardashians went here, the Kardasians ate there”. Good to know I’m not the only one! I also watch it to annoy the other half – his idea of hell, but I love it!
Haha me too. I find it the perfect way to unwind or just have it on in the background as it requires minimal thinking!
