Gifts For People Who Love To Travel
Travel gift ideas under £10
Silk sleep mask
A great little stocking filler for a jet-setter, this silk sleep mask is adjustable, lightweight and comfortable. Perfect for planes, jet lag or those who like to avoid early mornings!

This Works Dream Team
I was gifted a This Works Sleep Balm (thank you Karen!) a few years ago and have enjoyed exploring the whole heaven-scented This Works sleep range ever since, particularly when trying to drift off on a stale plane.
This Works offer a couple of different Christmas gift sets but the Dream Team contains 2 of my absolute faves – including the This Works Pillow Spray – in handy travel-sized containers.
Impress your travel-loving friend with a gift that will change the way they pack forever. Any converted packing cube user will tell you there’s nothing better for helping you pack better and live out of a suitcase for longer. This generous set of 6 will make sure they have a dedicated cube for all the essential bits.

Best travel pillows
There’s a lot of choice when it comes to buying travel pillows but only a handful do what experts have declared is the best way to sleep in a seat – that is, to support your chin.
I’m a fan of the Trtl travel pillow because it’s compact and looks like a snood, albeit with some essential support for a nodding head.
For something a bit more plush the Bcozzy chin support travel pillow offers support for the head, neck and chin in cosy fabric.

Sand free & stylish towel
Not a fan of sand? Reluctant beach-goers like my husband are about to have their lives changed if you gift them a Tesalate sand free towel. These ultra compact, super absorbent, fast drying towels come in a range of eye-catching designs and, best of all, the stick-free fabric means you can leave the sand where it belongs – at the beach!
Designed by an Aussie duo who started with a stall at Bondi Markets, these towels are perfect for travellers. They come in a range of easily recognisable patterns – so you’ll never lose your spot on the sand! – and ship worldwide for free. Pictured is their best-selling Phoenix, which also happens to be my top pick.

Best cabin case for women
The recipient of this gift will never guess you spent less than £70 to buy them the ultimate hand luggage for women. My mum actually bought me this cabin case (seen above) last Christmas and I’ve got so much use and enjoyment out of it. Not only does it look chic – good enough to garner compliments from cabin crew! – but the clever design enables you to store your handbag and toiletries in an easily-accessible top pocket.
Buy now on Amazon.co.uk or via the Cabin Max website.
Another gift I’m sure will be used and loved over and over is a super cosy travel shawl that doubles up as a blanket on chilly airplanes. I have a merino wool oversize wrap by Australian brand Sassind Melbourne ($199 AUD) that I simply adore. I’ve also read great reviews of the blanket wrap by Barefoot Dreams that comes in under £90.

This travel must-have for 2020 is top of my Christmas list. Not only does the Cirrus travel steamer by Steamery look like a luxury item but it gets the creases out of your clothes on the go. (It heats up in 25 seconds and weighs less than 600 grams.) I’m hoping to not only use this compact steamer on my travels but on the very few things I iron at home also. Who needs an iron anyway?
This Steam & Go by Philips also comes highly recommended by Good Housekeeping.
Rollie Travel Shoes
Rollie are another Aussie brand I adore as they design all their gorgeous shoes with the traveller in mind. (It all started when founder Vince wanted to create the perfect travel shoe for his flight attendant wife Kat, also known as Rollie.)
Perfect for flying and exploring, the Derby City Grey Kid Suede are my new dream shoes. Made from premium soft leather that moulds to your feet and memorable foam insoles (no socks necessary!) they are incredibly light – lighter than flip flops light! – and look as cool as they are comfy.
So, if the traveller you’re looking to buy for is a style-conscious guy or gal I recommend you browse the Rollie range pronto. (There are handy notes on the sizing of different styles to help make ordering easy.)
Also featured in main pic are the Rollie Derby Sport Snow Leopard – a delicious sport shoe made with premium cow leather lining and canvas for breathability. The prints & frames are from Desenio.
So that’s my wrap of the best gifts for people who love to travel – including a few things I hope to receive myself this year. Why not treat yourself if Santa doesn’t deliver the goods!

Some great tips there Jane. I do like to travel with a shawl in my cabin baggage as it can get so cold on the flight, or even in the airport lounge.
Me too. It’s nice to wrap yourself in something a little luxurious if you’re flying economy!
